Manuella's Story
Background:
Manuella is a dedicated member of the Festival Singers of Atlanta, bringing her love for music and storytelling to the stage. An educator by profession, she is passionate about inspiring others and fostering creativity both in the classroom and through her performances. What drew you to becoming a singer with FSA?
After graduating from GSU with my music minor, I knew I didn’t want to stop singing—but I no longer had a musical community to be part of. Festival Singers of Atlanta provided the perfect opportunity to continue doing what I love while surrounding myself with talented, passionate musicians who share the same appreciation for choral music.
What keeps you coming back?
Being part of FSA allows me to continuously sharpen my musical skills, from ear training and score reading to vocal technique and ensemble singing. Beyond that, it’s simply a joy to perform and use my voice in a meaningful way. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about making music with a group that values artistry and collaboration, and I love the challenge and excitement that each new piece brings.
What is your vision for the future of The Festival Singers of Atlanta?
I envision Festival Singers of Atlanta continuing to grow as a cornerstone of choral excellence in the community—expanding our reach, embracing diverse repertoire, and connecting with wider audiences. I hope to see us collaborating with other musical organizations, mentoring young singers, and making an even greater impact through the power of music.
Why should someone join The Festival Singers of Atlanta?
In FSA, you get a welcoming, supportive community where people genuinely enjoy learning from one another and growing together as musicians. The group is filled with kind, accepting individuals who are passionate about choral singing and always eager to explore new musical challenges. Plus, it’s just a lot of fun—from rehearsals to performances, there’s a sense of camaraderie that makes the experience truly special.
